Supporting our Community at the Sears Great Canadian Run
A group of 20 enthusiastic TI Group employees are dedicating their time and effort to learn the joy of running in preparation for the Sears Great Canadian Run to support kids cancer initiatives.
“At TI Group, we believe in fostering a culture of health and wellness within our employee community and have several unique in-house programs to support our staff,” states David Smith, a Partner at TI Group. “We also believe in the power of giving and supporting our local communities, and those in need – wherever they may be. This year TI Group has decided to join and support the Sears Great Canadian Run for kids cancer initiatives.
We have a team of 20 enthusiastic runners ranging in experience from a champion long-distance trail runner, athletes, to beginners who want to learn the joy of running and making healthy lifestyle choices. Young to old, short to tall, we are an incredibly enthusiastic and talented group!”
In support of the team fundraising initiatives, on Friday June 20th, TI Group held a very successful in-house bake sale. Our in-house pastry chef, Michelle Charron, donated her time to bake a beautiful array of gourmet baked goods including fruit pies, blackberry lemonade cupcakes, strawberry cheesecakes and a Jack Daniel’s infused chocolate cheesecake! The bake sale sold out of everything in less than an hour and raised over $400.
The bake sale was just a “taste” of the culture of support and giving we have at TI Group. The entire staff is standing beside and supporting our team of 20 employee runners in any way they can. The spirit of giving to charity and supporting those that donate time and energy to these efforts is alive and well at TI Group! We are looking forward to many more fundraisers in the coming months leading up to the big September 20th run!
With the support of the whole company, through the talents of our creative and innovative thinking employees, we believe that we will surpass our fundraising goal in support of Kids Cancer initiatives!
If you haven’t donated to this important cause, do it now! Please donate at our team page and share it on your social media.
